Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Kin AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These terms apply to all users of Kin AI, including the iOS app, Android app, and website at kinai.app.

You must be at least 17 years old to use Kin AI. You must be at least 18 years old to access Spicy mode or any romantic persona features.

By using Kin AI, you represent that you meet these age requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for harmful purposes.

Kin AI creates AI companions based on descriptions and data you provide. These companions are artificial intelligence — they are not real people and do not represent any actual living or deceased individual's true thoughts, opinions, or feelings.

Kin AI is not a mental health service, crisis support service, or substitute for professional therapy or counseling. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call a crisis helpline.

The AI companions in Kin AI are clearly labeled as AI. We do not represent them as real people.

You may upload chat history, voice recordings, photos, and other content to help create AI companions. By uploading this content, you represent that:

• You have the right to upload and use this content
• The content does not violate any third party's rights
• You have obtained any necessary consent from individuals whose data is included

You retain ownership of your uploaded content. You grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Kin AI service to you.

You agree not to use Kin AI to:

• Create AI companions that impersonate real people without their consent for harmful purposes
• Generate content that is illegal, harassing, or harmful to others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service
• Use the service to train competing AI models
• Share your account or resell access to the service
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws

Kin AI offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Pro and Premium). Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew unless cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

Kin AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or emotionally appropriate.

AI companions may occasionally produce responses that are unexpected, off-tone, or inaccurate. This is an inherent limitation of AI technology.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kin AI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of data, or reliance on AI responses.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Kin AI after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
